Today I’m sharing with you the second chapter of our Tasmanian engagement shoot. This chapter was supposed to represent the time that Jarrad and I have spent away from each other (6 months due to border closures 2 years in a row, 6 months due to work commitments last year, and about 2 months plus a handful of weeks this year).

This was the last of the three sessions we shot and easily the most chaotic. The wind was intense, so much so that no one could hear anyone else and the little boat kept being blown across the lake, it was ridiculously cold once again, and we were joined by a kind local stranger, who came down to see what on earth we were doing, and stayed almost until the bitter end, helping me with my enormous dress, and telling me tidbits of his life story as we stood there waiting.

One of the most special parts of this whole experience was that Lena had us pen love letters to each other, which she had the wonderful Papier Handmade write in beautiful calligraphy, and presented to us before we started shooting. There have been many hard and bittersweet moments over the last three and a half years, being physically separated by things outside of our control, but finally, this was all sweet.
