The Professional Cinderella

A few weeks ago, I spontaneously went to the ballet. It was a triple bill- all contemporary works- and the dress code called for something a little less formal than what I’d usually wear to a full-length ballet.

There are some really great sequinned pieces floating around at the moment. I myself have the most fabulous pair of pink sequin pants, but to be honest, I’ve always put embellished clothes like that in the “party pile”, which is ridiculous, because some of them are beautifully tailored, and quite conservatively cut.

My ballet teacher often wore a black sequinned jacket out to events, and it always looked so chic, and I was inspired to add a bit of fun to my outfit with a sequinned skirt.
