The Professional Cinderella

I am so in love with yellow clothes at the moment. There are just so many fantastic pieces out this season in every shade from buttermilk to marigold, and I think it would impossible to be miserable whilst wearing them.

A few weeks ago we attended my beautiful best friend’s engagement party. I had actually intended to wear an old favourite LBD of mine, but when she showed me what she was wearing- a LBD scattered with beads and hemmed with feathers- I decided to leave well enough alone and make sure that she had her moment to absolutely steal the show.

I had other dresses in mind, but they either seemed too formal or too casual, and I was starting to get worried that if I found something online, it wouldn’t arrive in time. I eventually struck literal solid gold in the form of this divine Cmeo dress. I just loved the way the skirt fell, and the strapless neckline made it just that little bit more special.

Normally I would just let a dress like this do all the talking, but the following day I found these Mercedes Salazar macaw earrings, and I couldn’t go past them.

Together I think they made a really fun and happy outfit. I mean honestly, could you possibly claim to be miserable with parrots swinging from your ears?
